Golden week this year is looking really good. There is still snow at the top of Happo one and 47/Goryu so there is still skiing to be had. In the town most of the snow has melted away so it is nice to walk around the cherry blossems still haven't come into blomb yet so with a bit of luck they might come out for the weekend as well. I am sure many of you will be wondering if Hakuba is safe to go to for your ski vacation next year. To be honest there has been a lot of earthquakes in Japan and Nagano prefecture although we are reasonabaly close to where the earthquakes have been I have only felt 2 of them and there has been hundreds of them in the last month alone. Hakuba has been seeing a bit of snow over the past week at the tops of the ski fields at this stage there isn't really much down the bottom but the tops have been getting snow for about a week now. The sky has cleared up today so we had some beautiful mountain views. It is still quite cold so hopefully the big snow days aren't to far away.... Read more...
