Golden week this year is looking really good. There is still snow at the top of Happo one and 47/Goryu so there is still skiing to be had. In the town most of the snow has melted away so it is nice to walk around the cherry blossems still haven't come into blomb yet so with a bit of luck they might come out for the weekend as well. The summer sports like rafting have started so if your not to keen to go spring skiing this might be your syle. For hikeing so of the lower mountains like Iwatake and minekata would be the go. As Happo and 47 still have to much snow for most of us although the experienced climbers are still makeing the trip. Also this is a good time of year for fishing as the trout are starting to return to the rivers again.
